Water Europe has announced the opening of the 2026 European Water-Smart Awards, a call to all innovators turning the Water-Smart Vision into reality. The awards ceremony will be a highlight of Water Innovation Europe (WIE) 2026, held in Dublin on 13-14 October.
Following last year’s event in Copenhagen, which saw over 300 global leaders, the 2026 summit addresses the theme “Raising the bar for the Water Framework Directive.” With less than two years to meet the Directive’s 2027 objectives, the agenda will bring together investors and policymakers to accelerate progress through innovation and blue finance.
Applying for the awards offers winners a gateway to Europe’s most influential water ecosystem. Benefits include featured success stories, interview opportunities, and a platform to speak at future Water Europe events.
