KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence had a chance to present a paper titled “Χ-risk: Health Risk Modelling During Drinking Water Chemical Contamination Events” at the CCWI23 conference held at De Montfort University in Leicester, UK this year.

The χ-RISK decision support system has been developed to be integrated with other platforms, including intoDBP ecosystem for modeling disinfection by-products.

The CCWI has been focused on modelling and control of water systems. The CCWI conferences were initially organized by Brunel University (London), De Monfort University (Leicester), Exeter University, Imperial College London and The University of Sheffield. It has been held every two years since 1991; last held at DMU in 2015. This international conference brings together industry professionals and researchers from around the world to solve problems in the field of urban water systems, modelling, and control.
