The intoDBP project proudly participated in the Winter School 2024 on Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) and Disinfection By-Products (DBPs), an inspiring event that brought together 255 participants from 22 countries to tackle pressing water quality challenges. Held on 24-26 November 2024 in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, the event served as a platform to showcase collaborative innovation and sustainable solutions in water management.

Representing intoDBP, Maria José Farré (Project Coordinator from ICRA) and Paolo Roccaro (University of Catania) highlighted the project’s ground-breaking efforts in addressing Disinfection By-Products (DBPs) under current and future climates. Maria presented the project during the co-Creation Workshop: Future Challenges in the Drinking Water Sector – Public Engagement, Communication, and Raising Awareness.

The event featured presentations and discussions from the ZeroPollution4Water Cluster’s projects, including ToDrinQ, H2OforAll, SafeCREW, and Mar2protect. Participants explored innovative approaches to combat Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) and DBPs, driving the mission of safeguarding water quality and public health.
