Following the successful conclusion of the intoDBP Final Conference, project partners remained in Girona for the consortium’s final physical meeting, bringing the team together to review recent progress and define priorities for the last two months of the project.

With intoDBP approaching its conclusion, the meeting provided an important opportunity for partners to take stock of the work completed over the previous months and coordinate the activities still to be finalised. Partners presented updates from across the project, highlighting achievements, remaining tasks and the steps needed to consolidate the results generated throughout the project.

A central focus of the discussions was the future exploitation of intoDBP’s outcomes. Partners worked together to identify pathways for ensuring that the knowledge, methodologies, technologies and other results developed within the project can continue to generate value after its formal conclusion. Discussions also considered potential opportunities for uptake and future business development arising from the project’s results.

Effective communication of the project’s achievements was another priority. As intoDBP enters its final months, the consortium is working to gather and structure its key results and ensure that they are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders across the drinking water sector, research community and wider European water ecosystem.

The meeting concluded with a visit to the Cardedeu water treatment plant, offering partners an opportunity to connect the project’s work with operational drinking water treatment and exchange perspectives in a real-world setting.

Beyond the technical discussions, the meeting represented an important moment for the consortium. As the final physical gathering of the project, it was an opportunity to reflect on the collaboration built throughout intoDBP and the collective effort that has supported the project’s progress.

With two months remaining, partners will now concentrate on completing the project’s final activities, consolidating its results and strengthening pathways for their exploitation, communication and continued impact beyond the lifetime of intoDBP.
